So one day Cheri came up and we made Anna a new quilt! All those years of watching my mom make quilts paid off - I was in charge of cutting the 60 squares of this pink & white ticking material I had, Cheri sewed them together and I ironed them. After inspecting a quilt that my mom made for the kids, Cheri figured out how to assemble the back.
I took the assembled quilt into town to get the border and quilted diagonal design done as they have an industrial machine, can make a straight stitch in no time and do this for a very reasonable...okay, cheap price:)
I'm really happy with how it turned out - here's the final product:
