Way back before we moved here I wrote a blog about sand storms. I remember wondering if rather than a snow day we would have a sand day. Well yesterday came pretty close. We have had quite a few sandy days (
Shamals) since we arrived here. Yesterday was different. It came in so fast and so thick it was quite
eerie. The below picture was taken at 9:00am. Everything turned a glowing orange color and it happened within a 20 minute period. If you look close you can see one of the workers going about his business breathing this all in.
Now it is a day later. The sand has blown through and everything is covered with sand. Here is one of the
Buddhas we have hanging on our porch.
Here is the porch itself. You can see the footprints in the sand.
Even with the garage door closed the sand got in. Everything is covered.
This is our gardener Ready. He has the fun job of hosing everything off.
